Report summary
The appointed expert group received the materials for assessment and, using the required
documentation, prepared a joint report on the compliance with the accreditation criteria
for the new study program. The findings regarding the continuing education study program
are as follows: the covered content aligns with the program's objectives, encompassing all
relevant areas of veterinary pathology, including laboratory exercises for acquiring
specialized knowledge, support from the veterinary chamber, and successful collaboration
with external institutions (either private companies or state institutes). The program's
subjects are assigned with an adequate amount of ECTS credits, and the material aspect
of the study is at a level that allows for the smooth implementation of the study program.
Recognized strengths include the diversity of elective courses, the competence of the staff,
and the faculty's recognition. Opportunities for improvement include a clear definition of
the modular implementation of subjects, updating study literature, redistributing
laboratory exercises to be conducted within institutions, precise definition of the grading
scale, and defining the minimum requirements for demonstrating knowledge. Also the
current number of exercises seems somewhat burdensome for the candidates; these
should therefore probably be relieved by lowering their number.
