Report summary
The Strategic Management study program addresses the business world's current
requirements and expectations with the program's objectives. VŠPV will enroll employed
students in the program, which lasts 2 years (120 ECTS), and the organization and method
of study implementation is adapted to this. Contact hours will be held consecutively,
partially synchronously and asynchronously in the afternoon. VŠPV has an exemplary
defined hybrid method of study, for which the institution also has adequate material
conditions. The intended providers of the study program have appropriate references and
habilitation titles, although some of them have already expired since the application was
submitted. Depending on the level of study, the VŠPV would benefit from professors being
better integrated into the VŠPV's operation (larger share of employed professors, at least
in the share of employment).
The courses are interconnected horizontally and vertically, and a group of experts proposes
the reorganization of compulsory and elective courses. Students cannot achieve the
learning outcomes and competencies of the study program with elective courses. The
second-level study program Strategic Management is suitable for graduates of non-
business schools (mainly technical and natural sciences), who will thus acquire the
knowledge and competences to successfully cope with the business world's demands. The
group of experts, therefore, proposes a change in the planned admission conditions in the
application for accreditation. The group of experts also suggests to the applicant the
unification of curricula (content, learning outcomes, number of compulsory study units)
and, above all, a reasonable choice of a range of teaching methods and ways of testing
and assessing knowledge in a way that will be linked to subject-specific learning outcomes
and competencies. The group of experts also proposes a review of the learning outcomes
of individual courses and their adaptation to the level of study.
