Report summary
The study program Teacher Education and Educational Sciences is a study program that
includes education for a wide range of teaching professions at the doctoral level. Due to
the complexity of the pedagogical profiles for which the aforementioned study program is
intended, it is based on common core study subjects. Only these represent the basis for
scientific research work in the field of educational sciences. Adaptation to the individual
profile of teaching professions is regulated by the selection of different modules. The latter
enable adaptation of the study process to the individual needs of students. At the same
time, with the help of a mentoring system, students are encouraged to develop the field
they will focus on in their doctoral dissertation throughout their doctoral studies.
During the evaluation, the group of experts found that the management of the Faculty of
Education, University of Ljubljana is committed to establishing a quality system and
updating the study program in accordance with the findings of the self-evaluation reports.
The latter is reflected in the satisfaction of various stakeholders (mainly the external
environment, doctoral students and students) with the renewed (4th year) study program.
In particular, it is necessary to highlight the material conditions (mainly the volume and
accessibility of library materials) and the responsiveness of joint services and providers of
the study process.
