Report summary
The substantive starting point (purpose) of the proposed study programme is defined as
follows: "In terms of content, the doctoral programme is aimed at the development and
application of digital technologies at the most sophisticated level, which – depending on
the chosen field of study – is related to the computer, mathematical, social or business
information sciences, or a meaningful combination thereof." As the applicant, in its
response to the first report of the Expert Group, decided to exclude two fields of study, the
Expert Group was presented with a substantially revised programme application for review.
The proposal with two fields of study will achieve much better the interdisciplinarity that
will result from a meaningful combination (of subjects) of these fields. The Institute has
established research projects as well as the equipment that will be needed to carry out the
study programme. All lecturers are appropriately habilitated and fulfil the conditions for
mentoring.
