The doctoral study Agrarian Economics at FKBV UM represents a high-quality study program in a geopolitically very current f ield, such as self -suf f iciency and f ood production. Both doctoral students and employers have a very positive opinion of the study pr ogram. They believe that the program provides self -conf ident and competent doctors, who can successf ully f ace the real challenges of the scientif ic research f ield and economy. A more substantively transparent publication of study program changes in self -evaluation reports would enable better transparency in monitoring the development of this study program, while at the same time emphasizing the developmental orientation and relevant problem - f ocused development of the doctoral study discussed. All of these are also f actors that could contribute to the intensive promotion of the study program in the wider, including international environment, and the greater interest of candidates to study in this doctoral program of the Doctoral School of the University of Maribor.
