The proposed first-degree study program "Geronkinesiology" is a new program in Slovenia. Prepared program is in accordance with NAKVIS criteria, includes all required elements, and all required attachments which are also attached. The program is interdisciplinary. The needs for behaviors and knowledge as well as skills and abilities demonstrated by gerokinesiologists will be in high demand in the future due to changing professions and especially due to an aging society. Society needs the new approaches to the elderly in gerokinesiology, therapeutic recreation and adapted physical activity programs.
