Report summary
In its sample evaluation of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in Radiological Technology at the University of Ljubljana, the expert group found that the degree programme meets the criteria for accreditation and external evaluation of higher education institutions and degree programmes. The programme is assessed as well designed and internationally competitive, with clearly defined objectives, competences and learning outcomes that are aligned with international professional standards. The pedagogical approach is diverse and reflects active learning, including interactive lectures, simulation labs and extensive clinical experiences that effectively link theory and practise. An exceptionally high level of Erasmus mobility demonstrably enriches the educational experience and increases the international visibility of the programme. The simulation environment is excellently equipped and provides a safe, technologically advanced and educationally valuable learning environment. The academic staff are exceptionally research active, which has a direct impact on the quality of teaching and gives students the opportunity to actively participate in research, publication and dissemination. The mentoring and tutoring system and the accessibility of academic staff are well established, although further improvement through increased visibility, availability and structured training for student representatives would be beneficial. Learning materials and literature support independent, reflective and problem‑orientated learning but require updating in the social sciences and public health, including a clearer distinction between mandatory and recommended sources. There is an opportunity to optimise timetabling by using clearly structured blocks and modular flexibility to reduce logistical barriers and improve attendance. The action plans are targeted and relevant in content, but would benefit from more precise deadlines, designated responsibilities and a more thorough assessment of the impact of interventions on learning outcomes. The programme also has the potential to further improve internationalisation and meaningfully integrate interdisciplinary content such as bioinformatics, digital medicine and artificial intelligence. The expert group highlights that the programme functions as a stable, strategic and development‑oriented university environment with a strong foundation for future quality improvements and sustainable growth. The institution responded to the report by proposing a number of measures/explanations that are heading in the right direction, as they meaningfully address the identified opportunities for improvement in areas such as content updates, strengthening student support systems, increasing stakeholder involvement, and enhancing organizational and evaluation practices. It will be important for the institution to implement these measures consistently in the upcoming period, to monitor their progress regularly, and to systematically assess their impact within the framework of the internal quality assurance system. -

Report summary
Considerable progress has been made since the previous evaluation. The material conditions in the "Animation, video and new media" track have improved considerably. Progress has also been made in the self-evaluation of the programme. Students are involved in international collaborations and work with the artistic and professional community in various areas. The institution promotes artistic diversity among students, who are very satisfied with the programme and express a sense of belonging. The future content challenge is primarily to integrate or structure the Video, Animation and New Media track to serve the artistic aspect of developing creative technologies and to support interdisciplinarity between the Institute's programmes. The development and exploration of these interdisciplinary tools and techniques is one of the fundamental factors in the development of the disciplines covered by the ALUO - the visual arts. The development of this field is likely to be one of the decisive factors for the competitiveness of such institutions in the future. The institution (and the programme) is also very successful and active in the field of cooperation with local and international institutions and encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities. It informs the public and students about these activities through online channels, creating good communication with participants. Some more attention should be paid to the accessibility and accuracy of study content documents, curricula and self-evaluation reports. The institution must ensure that the curricula are always available and that they correspond to the actual delivery of the studies, including the references of the lecturers. -
