Summary
Report summary
Based on the examined documentation and through interviews with various stakeholder groups, the group of experts analyzed the operation of the institute and proposed advice for further improvement of already established quality assurance processes. Great dedication of employees, high satisfaction of students and plans for further development were noticed. The new management of the institute has only just begun its work, but it shows great enthusiasm and desire to achieve the set goals. Some non-compliances were also detected, unfortunately the smaller number of students and employees at the institution does not justify non-compliance or partial compliance with the provisions of certain standards. The Institute thus does not have a document that would enable the verification of the implementation of the Institute's strategy and its goals. The participation of non-academic (i.e. non-pedagogical) staff is not foreseen in any body, except for the secretary of the Institute. Amendments to the statute should ensure the participation of non-teaching staff and regulate the voting of absent members and bodies. The functioning of the Academic Council needs to be ensured. The acquisition of the ARRS project and the 36 inclusion of the journal Res novae in one of the scientific bases is commendable. We recommend applying for scientific projects that will relate to business sciences and law. The institute should involve students in scientific research even more. In the field of quality assurance, it is necessary to update the Handbook of Quality Assurance, involve students in the collection, analysis and planning of measures in the field of monitoring and quality assurance, introduce a detailed strategic action plan for individual processes, and introduce improvements and changes. and measures in the field of monitoring and quality assurance, and consider the introduction of program directors. We would also suggest setting up the basics of the tutoring system, publishing current news on the faculty's website and involving students in the preparation of a self-evaluation report. Rules on the functioning of the Student Council should be prepared, the minutes of the Student Council and other faculty bodies should be made public, and a commission should be established to resolve potential cases of discrimination. It would be highly advisable to plan and act somewhat more ambitiously in order to obtain additional funding from research projects. It is recommended that the library expands the range of databases of scientific articles and journals, ensure further updating of scientific and professional literature required for study and scientific research, and provide mandatory copies of prescribed literature, which is listed as required literature in subject curricula. -
